Levi's In Paris
Not tank, not armored personnel carrier. Quite a few fashion labels named by initials are humorous, yet related.
Tunisian-born designer Jean Touitou founded this brand, which is known for its timeless unisex and concise, attention-to-detail designs, ( Atelier de Production et de Création) in 1988. People might not want to connect this minimalist brand with military garments, but all the designs at that time were shown with that connection.
When Jean later included raw Japanese denim in his ready-to-wear collection, these jeans suddenly became the greatest hits in the market.
Instead of the huge loose-fitting trend brought up by Levi's, this Parisian standard fit got more grace and popularity in the European territory and Kim Jones, the now creative director of Dior Homme, even asked Jean for tutoring.
The denim element is still used in current collections, with more designs mixtured, this normcore label is a synonym of personal style.
